No Products In Category
Plugin module for Quick.Cart by
OpenSolution.org
Synopsis
The No Products In Category plugin provides a slight modification to the behaviour of Product listings within Categories.
The standard behaviour of Quick.Cart when listing the Products within a Category is to display
- All the Products associated with that specific Category, plus
- All the Products associated with any sub-Categories of that Category.
This plugin prevents (b) above, such that only Products contained directly within the requested Category are listed.
* Please note the
Prerequisites for running this plugin. For ease of installation
it is necessary to use the facilities provided by the Plugin Manager, and if this causes any problems
I apologise in advance.

Install
Where possible, the release folder is laid out in the correct folder structure to aid installation.

- Go to the Configuration - Plugins option on the Admin menu, and enable the noProductsInCat plugin.
User Guide
There are no plugin-specific configuration settings for this plugin.
What this plugin does is prevent sub-Categories from being included in Product listings, and intercepts a 'Not Found'
message to display the standard Category Title, Description, etc, for cases where the requested Category does not have
any Products in its own right. This means that if a Category is empty (of Products) you will not get
the expected 'Not Found' message. This modified behaviour only applies to Product listings requested by Category,
not to the overall Product listing or the Search listings, and is front-end specific (ie. does not affect Admin).
Language
This plugin has no need of a language file of its own.
